Richard has a Masters in Physical Therapy and a Bachelors in Health Science and has been practicing for over 24 years. He is an out-of-the-box thinker who is very focused and detail oriented and believes communication is the key to success with patients. In his free time Richard enjoys traveling, learning different cultures, and cooking for friends & family.   

Shivani has a Bachelor of Physiotherapy and Masters of Science in Kinesiology- sports and human performance. She specializes in orthopedic, sports medicine, geriatric care, and neurological disorders. Shivani strives to make patients feel comfortable as they go through the rehabilitative process. She loves to cook, travel and spend time with her family and friends. 

Nakia has a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Florida A & M University and a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science. She is also a certified Health Coach. Nakia loves learning about mindfulness, relaxation techniques, yoga, and post-trauma care and how these are helpful with healing. In her free time, Nakia loves spending time with her family, all things music, and watching movies.  

Brandon has a Doctorate of Physical Therapy and a Bachelor in Psychology and specializes in Home Health, Manual Therapy, and Dry Needling. He loves to figure out the puzzle behind the mechanics and why people are experiencing pain. Brandon loves golfing, fishing, and spending time with his family.  

Khushboo has a Masters in Science in physical rehabilitation and specializes in Adult Orthopedics and Women’s Health – Postpartum corrective exercise. She is friendly and empathetic and enjoys building relationships with her patients. Khushboo loves spending time outdoors and going for hikes with her family.  

Dr. Arturo Camejo “Art”, DPT, is a Physical Therapist with a musculoskeletal focus and specialized certifications in vestibular rehabilitation, concussion management, and dry needling. He brings extensive experience in treating TMJ disorders and lymphedema. Valued for his personable and compassionate approach, Dr. Camejo combines advanced manual techniques with evidence-based care to consistently deliver exceptional patient outcomes. Fluent in Spanish, he is dedicated to making each patient feel supported and empowered throughout their recovery.

Terrell C. Connelly is a seasoned physical therapist assistant (PTA) with over 32 years of hands-on experience in orthopedics, long-term care, balance training, and neurological rehabilitation. He studied at Virginia Tech Jefferson College, where he earned his PTA qualification and also pursued a minor in psychology. Terrell is also a licensed massage therapist, blending multiple therapeutic approaches to provide holistic and effective care. His personality plays a vital role in his professional approach—he is curious, collaborative, and driven by a genuine passion for helping others. Terrell believes in constantly learning and refining his practice, often incorporating techniques he learns from fellow therapists to improve outcomes for his patients. He finds deep satisfaction in knowing that even on the most ordinary days, he has the power to make a real difference in someone’s life. His love for his work is rooted in this sense of purpose and progress. Outside of his career, Terrell enjoys helping living beings in any way he can and is a passionate fan of NASCAR. He finds excitement and inspiration in the sport, and if given the chance, he would love to meet professional NASCAR drivers.

  

My name is Sadhana Gautam, and I am a Licensed Physical Therapist with a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy and over two and a half years of professional experience. I specialize in orthopedic rehabilitation, mild neurological care, and sports injury management, focusing on restoring function, enhancing mobility, and improving quality of life through evidence-based techniques. Skilled in manual therapy, balance training, and patient education, I strive to empower patients with the knowledge and confidence to take charge of their health and well-being.

My naturally empathetic, patient, and motivating personality helps me build strong trust with patients and keeps them engaged throughout their rehabilitation journey. One of the most profound lessons I have learned in my career is that progress may be slow, but even small improvements can make a big difference in a patient’s life. Each individual presents uniquely, and I believe in approaching them holistically, rather than focusing solely on the physical injury.

I chose to become a physical therapist because of my fascination with how the human body works and the way movement can heal. What I love most about this profession is the opportunity to make a real difference in people’s lives every day—guiding patients through recovery, celebrating their progress, and continuously learning new techniques to grow both personally and professionally. Donna, M.A., CCC-SLP, received her B.A. and M.A. from Marshall University, Huntington, WV. Her experience in the field of communication disorders spans over 32 years in early intervention, preschool and school settings. She has been an active member of the North Carolina Speech, Hearing & Language Association for over a decade. She is also active the American Speech Language Hearing Association, which she is NC Stat liaison for Division 14, school-based issues. Donna’s areas of expertise encompasses emergent literacy, phonological awareness, spoken language disorders, autism, apraxia (motor planning), Assessment/Management of children with craniofacial impairments (toddler, preschool, school age), augmentative communication, fluency, intellectual disabilities, articulation and language delays and disorders. Donna has always loved working with children and their families, watching them develop their communication potential. Parents always receive support from Donna regarding techniques, strategies they can implement in the home setting to increase their child’s potential. She has served over hundreds of children in a variety of settings. Donna always demonstrates passion of care for all children and makes her sessions educational and fun. She supports and implements a transdisciplinary team approach for each child. 

Erica N. Strong, MS, CCC-SLP is an enthusiastic therapist who lives in Raleigh, NC with her husband and rescued dog, Zoe. As a North Carolina native, she received both her Bachelor’s of Science in Speech and Hearing Sciences Master’s of Science in Communications Sciences and Disorders from East Carolina University. Erica has a passion for pediatrics and has enjoyed working with children, all the while collaborating with their parents and caregivers in the natural environment.  

Susan Catherine Forbes-Frost holds a Master’s degree in Communication Disorders from the University of New Hampshire and is certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association with a Certificate of Clinical Competence, as well as licensed in North Carolina. She has been practicing as a Speech-Language Pathologist for 35 years, specializing in early speech-language development and brain injury evaluations and therapy for adults. Her creativity and optimistic personality strongly influence her approach to therapy, allowing her to provide a wide variety of effective treatment plans while maintaining a positive therapeutic environment. One of the most insightful aspects of her work has been recognizing the genetic component of autism, which often means that working with a child on the spectrum may also involve supporting a parent with undiagnosed pragmatic language challenges, adding complexity to parent counseling and education. Susan is deeply interested in brain science, particularly neuroplasticity and early brain development, and has always been motivated by a genuine desire to help people improve their quality of life. She especially values the opportunity to engage with children in therapeutic play. Beyond her professional life, Susan enjoys classical realism drawing and painting—especially portraits—along with social dancing, jogging, and hiking in nature. She is also a proud mother of an 18-year-old son who recently began college at ECU. In July 2025, while visiting her family in England, she had the memorable experience of meeting the Countess of Derby, a friend of Princess Diana.

Madison Patty holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders with a minor in Child Development, along with certifications in CPR and experience using Autism and AAC devices. With over four years of experience in the field, Madison is dedicated to helping children reach their fullest potential through communication and developmental support.

Her personality as a team player allows her to adapt easily and collaborate effectively with families and colleagues. Madison strongly believes that all children are capable of becoming successful in their abilities when given the right tools and support.

She finds great joy in building meaningful relationships with clients and families, and loves witnessing children grow into confident, effective communicators. Her passion for working with children inspired her to pursue a career in speech and language development.

Outside of work, Madison enjoys reading, knitting, watching Alabama football, and spending time outdoors with her dog. She brings warmth, creativity, and a genuine love for helping others into every aspect of her work and life.

My name is Kaitlyn Nicole Mayfield, and I recently graduated with a Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from Duke University. I also hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Bachelor of Science in Health Science from the University of West Alabama, along with a certificate in Theology, Medicine, and Culture from the Duke Divinity School. As a new graduate, I am eager to begin my professional journey in occupational therapy, bringing fresh knowledge, adaptability, and passion to my work.

I would describe myself as outgoing, ambitious, and highly adaptable, which allows me to quickly meet the needs of my clients while building strong connections and conversations. During my clinical rotations, I learned the importance of meeting clients where they are and tailoring therapeutic approaches to each individual’s unique strengths and circumstances. I was inspired to pursue OT during the challenges of 2020, when my parents—both in the medical field—served as powerful examples of resilience and service.

What I love most about occupational therapy is the opportunity to use both creativity and clinical skills to help clients regain or discover meaningful hobbies and occupations that enhance their quality of life. Being able to support people in achieving their optimal level of functioning and witnessing their progress is deeply rewarding.

Outside of work, I enjoy paddleboarding, hiking, watching sports, knitting, playing video games, playing tennis, and spending time shopping leisurely with a good beverage. I recently married my partner of seven years in May 2025, and we now live in North Carolina with our two dogs and two cats, who are truly the heart of our family. While I haven’t yet met anyone famous, I would love to meet the cast of my favorite show, Supernatural, or—if given the chance—celebrated chef Thomas Keller.

Sefir is originally from Berlin, Germany, but has been a North Carolina native for over 20 years. His background includes a Bachelors’s in Kinesiology with a concentration in Sports Medicine. Sefir starts from a foundational approach with each and every patient to truly understand the nature of each individual’s unique perspective towards their therapeutic journey. He comes from a strong Orthopedic background working with upper extremity hand surgeons, as well as working with younger children. His hobbies include playing basketball, soccer and beach volleyball, as well as strength training 6 days out of the week.

I live in Mooresville with my husband, our two pugs, and four geckos, who keep life lively and entertaining. A fun fact about me is that I once met Bob Pinciotti (“Red Forman”) from That ’70s Show, which was a memorable experience.

My name is Sy Freckleton, and I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Health Systems Management. I am certified in Adult and Pediatric CPR, AED, and First Aid, and I am excited to be starting out in my new professional role. I approach my work with a love for making connections, learning about others, and incorporating fun and curiosity into everything I do.

Outside of work, I enjoy playing golf, cooking, doing my own nails, exploring true crime stories, and learning how to crochet. My family is originally from Jamaica, but I was born in New Jersey and raised in Cary, North Carolina. I share my home with three cats who I adore, even though I’m allergic to them. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to meet several well-known people, including J. Cole, Bunny Wailer, and Jeff and Matt Hardy, which have been memorable experiences.
