Darlene obtained a B.S. in Physical Therapy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and has been practicing for 28 years as a PT in a variety of settings from pediatrics to acute care. She is often complimented for her “bubbly” personality. Darlene feels that if you approach the day or task with a negative attitude then that is what you are going to get., which is why she tries to be upbeat and positive as often as possible. 

Shivani has a Bachelor of Physiotherapy and Masters of Science in Kinesiology- sports and human performance. She specializes in orthopedic, sports medicine, geriatric care, and neurological disorders. Shivani strives to make patients feel comfortable as they go through the rehabilitative process. She loves to cook, travel and spend time with her family and friends. 

Nakia has a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Florida A & M University and a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science. She is also a certified Health Coach. Nakia loves learning about mindfulness, relaxation techniques, yoga, and post-trauma care and how these are helpful with healing. In her free time, Nakia loves spending time with her family, all things music, and watching movies.  

Brandon has a Doctorate of Physical Therapy and a Bachelor in Psychology and specializes in Home Health, Manual Therapy, and Dry Needling. He loves to figure out the puzzle behind the mechanics and why people are experiencing pain. Brandon loves golfing, fishing, and spending time with his family.  

Arturo is a Doctor in Physical Therapy and specializes in Vestibular TMJ and Sports Lymphedema. He is easygoing and likes to make the PT experience fun, engaging, and efficient. In his free time, Arturo enjoys playing soccer, playing music, and travelling.   

Khushboo has a Masters in Science in physical rehabilitation and specializes in Adult Orthopedics and Women’s Health – Postpartum corrective exercise. She is friendly and empathetic and enjoys building relationships with her patients. Khushboo loves spending time outdoors and going for hikes with her family.  

Richard has a Masters in Physical Therapy and a Bachelors in Health Science and has been practicing for over 24 years. He is an out-of-the-box thinker who is very focused and detail oriented and believes communication is the key to success with patients. In his free time Richard enjoys traveling, learning different cultures, and cooking for friends & family.   

Kimberly has an Associates in Physical Therapy and has been practicing for over 15 years. She specializes in orthopedics, kinesio taping, cupping, and balance disorders. Kimberly is very driven and encourages patients to do better for themselves. In her free time, Kimberly enjoys flying airplanes, painting, ballroom dancing, and spending time with her dog.

Donna, M.A., CCC-SLP, received her B.A. and M.A. from Marshall University, Huntington, WV. Her experience in the field of communication disorders spans over 32 years in early intervention, preschool and school settings. She has been an active member of the North Carolina Speech, Hearing & Language Association for over a decade. She is also active the American Speech Language Hearing Association, which she is NC Stat liaison for Division 14, school-based issues. Donna’s areas of expertise encompasses emergent literacy, phonological awareness, spoken language disorders, autism, apraxia (motor planning), Assessment/Management of children with craniofacial impairments (toddler, preschool, school age), augmentative communication, fluency, intellectual disabilities, articulation and language delays and disorders. Donna has always loved working with children and their families, watching them develop their communication potential. Parents always receive support from Donna regarding techniques, strategies they can implement in the home setting to increase their child’s potential. She has served over hundreds of children in a variety of settings. Donna always demonstrates passion of care for all children and makes her sessions educational and fun. She supports and implements a transdisciplinary team approach for each child. 

Erica N. Strong, MS, CCC-SLP is an enthusiastic therapist who lives in Raleigh, NC with her husband and rescued dog, Zoe. As a North Carolina native, she received both her Bachelor’s of Science in Speech and Hearing Sciences Master’s of Science in Communications Sciences and Disorders from East Carolina University. Erica has a passion for pediatrics and has enjoyed working with children, all the while collaborating with their parents and caregivers in the natural environment.  

Meghan has an M.S. in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She loves to stay flexible in her approach and making connections with patients and their families. Meghan enjoys reading and playing video games and loves taking her dog on walks.

Kayla has experience in evaluating and training a variety of pediatric speech and language deficits such as phonological and articulation delays, expressive and receptive language delays, fluency, autism spectrum disorder, cognitive delays, and other nonverbal communicators. She enjoys the wide span of the pediatric population, especially early intervention and preschool-aged children. Kayla believes in creating a plan of care that will assist both parents and children in communicating successfully in the child’s natural environment. Outside of being a therapist, you can often catch Kayla at the local trails walking her fur baby Milo or trying out a new restaurant. 

 

Laura has a Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology and specializes in fluency disorders in children and adult Reading Disorders. She loves helping people and seeing the profound effect on their lives that come from improving their communication abilities. Laura enjoys reading, going to aquariums, and taking long walks.

Heather has an Associates in Health Sciences for Occupational Therapy Assistant and specializes in autism, sensory integration, oral motor and feeding and handwriting. She wants to help people live every day to their fullest by being able to treat the whole person. To help others participate/continue to participate in their everyday activities as well as the things that are important to them and to help children, regardless of their diagnosis, be able to live their best lives. Heather enjoys kayaking, camping, DIY projects, and spending time with her family. 

Sefir is originally from Berlin, Germany, but has been a North Carolina native for over 20 years. His background includes a Bachelors’s in Kinesiology with a concentration in Sports Medicine. Sefir starts from a foundational approach with each and every patient to truly understand the nature of each individual’s unique perspective towards their therapeutic journey. He comes from a strong Orthopedic background working with upper extremity hand surgeons, as well as working with younger children. His hobbies include playing basketball, soccer and beach volleyball, as well as strength training 6 days out of the week.

Jackie has an Associates in Occupational Therapy Assistant and a Bachelors in History. Her calm demeanor allows for her to listen to her patients and create a willingness to participate and believes that meeting the patient where they are increases positive outcomes.  Jackie enjoys reading, spending time with family, exploring the city and eating out. 

Anthony Christopher is an accomplished occupational therapist with 41 years of experience in the field. He holds a Bachelor’s in Health and a Bachelor’s in Occupational Therapy and is licensed in both New York and North Carolina. Anthony specializes in home health, along with early intervention  rehabilitation, driven by a passion for enhancing individuals’ abilities and overall quality of life. His empathetic and client-centered approach is deeply influenced by his personal experiences, including a high school injury that initially sparked his interest in therapy. Outside of work, Anthony enjoys swimming, scuba diving, tennis, and photography. He values the stories everyone has to share and appreciates life’s diverse experiences.
